2009 Calendar Art Contest Details
Most all entries have been returned
The Student Art Contest for the 2009 calendar has now been judged and is being put into the books.
On May 1, we began sending “Award of Merit” certificates to some 400 students whose works made it to the final round of judging in their respective grade divisions. Most all the certificates and artwork have been returned.
Entries and Merit certificates in certain areas around the state are being held while several REMCs are picking art for special pages of their localized edition of the calendar. These REMCs are:
- Carroll County REMC,
- Decatur County REMC,
- Jasper County REMC,
- Northeastern REMC,
- Orange County REMC,
- United REMC,
- White County REMC.
The areas include most or parts of these counties: Adams, Allen, Carroll, Decatur, Huntington, Jasper, Orange, Pulaski, Wells, White and Whitley. If you are expecting artwork to be returned and live in these areas, please be a little more patient. Your work might still be published in your local REMC’s calendar!
Because of the large number of entries, only the winners were notified by phone.
Electric Consumer and Indiana’s electric cooperatives thank all the students, art teachers, parents and school administrators who have made our 11th annual student calendar art contest a great success. We received almost 3,300 entries this year.
